You’re seriously going to love how easy this recipe is! I think you’ll quickly stop spending so much money buying immunity shots when you can make them so easy with ingredients you probably already have in your fridge and pantry!

  • Chop the lemons, ginger, lemongrass, oranges and apples 
  • Juice the orange and set aside.

Add all ingredients (except essential oils and Vitamin D drops) to a large pot and bring to a gentle boil.

Allow to gently boil for 30 mins to 1 hour then remove from heat.

Strain liquid over a fine mesh strainer. Press to remove as much liquid as possible. 

* Keep the left over pulp and dehydrate it in the oven or a dehydrator. Blend in a high speed blender then add to smoothies for a kick of Vitamin C!

Allow the liquid elixir to cool slightly until it is just warm to the touch before adding remaining ingredients.

Make sure to add only edible essential oils. DoTerra has some lovely edible essential oils that we love! We are not associated with them we just love their oils!

Add Vitamin D drops if desired. Make sure to read your specific brand for dosage recommendations. If unsure, consult your health care professional for the right dose for you!

Simple funnel your immunity boosting elixir into individual sized servings. I like to use small 65mL glass jars (I’ve re-used from buying pre-made immunity shots).

  6. Freeze for Longer Storage: Consider freezing the shots in ice cube trays. Once frozen, transfer the cubes to a freezer-safe bag or container. These frozen shots can last for up to 2-3 months and can be thawed as needed.

INGREDIENTS
 

  • 900 mL Pure Apple Juice or Filtered Water 4 cups
  • 3 large Lemons organic, sliced
  • 2 inches Fresh Ginger skin on, sliced
  • 2 inches Fresh Lemongrass outer leaves removed, sliced
  • 1 large Orange skin on, sliced
  • 1 large Apple skin on, chopped 1/2 inch cubes
  • 3 Tbsp Honey Vegan - maple or agave syrup
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Dried, but can use fresh
  • 20 drops Edible Essential Oils (lemon, wild orange) *optional
  • 1-5 drops Edible Oregano Oil *optional
  • 1-10 drops Vitamin D drops *optional & according to dosage

INSTRUCTIONS

Prep Ingredients

  • Chop the lemons, ginger, lemongrass, oranges and apples Juice the orange and set aside.

Add to Pot

  • Add all ingredients (except essential oils and Vitamin D drops) to a large pot and bring to a gentle boil.

Gently Boil

  • Allow to gently boil for 30 mins to 1 hour then remove from heat.

Strain

  • Strain liquid over a fine mesh strainer. Press to remove as much liquid as possible. *See post for pulp uses

Cool Slightly

  • Allow the liquid elixir to cool slightly until it is just warm to the touch before adding remaining ingredients.

Add Optional Essential Oils

  • Make sure to add only edible essential oils. DoTerra has some lovely edible essential oils that we love! We are not associated with them we just love their oils!

Add Optional Vitamin D Drops

  • Add Vitamin D drops if desired. Make sure to read your specific brand for dosage recommendations. If unsure, consult your health care professional for the right dose for you!
